Well, we've been told that the only thing keeping Liam in the hospital at this point are his feeding issues. Dr. Liske, his regular cardiologist, says Liam is acting like a typical cardiac baby: He's just a sleepy eater. All the other treatment team members say the same thing. Please pray the feeding hurdle is overcome soon so we can bring our baby boy home!
In Christ,

I love you guys and am praying for all of you--will especially pray that Little Liam decides to start pigging out!
Love,
Cheri
Hi
I just wanted to add my encouragement and say that I am sure Liam will get the hang of eating enough soon.
It was just the same with Wren. We had to weigh him before and after each nursing and at the same time each morning.
We were not discharged until he had gained weight for 3 days in a row (one was borderline but that was okay).
How are they assessing his feeding? Does he still have the ng tube for some feedings?
We ended up coming home with the ng tube and some overnight tube feeds but it only lasted 10 days or so.
Praying for Liam to get the munchies and saying thank you to God for getting you all this far.
Karen
Praying that you get over this hurdle soon so Liam can go home.
Thoughts and prayers,
April
I found you through Faith on Gavin's blog. I am so glad to hear Liam is doing so well! Give the feeding some time, it is still a constant struggle for Abby, but Liam will get the hang of it before you know it. I hope you get home soon!
